Lumbar disc herniation occurs mostly in young adults aged 20 to 40 years old, more in men than in women. This is due to the fact that men are generally more labor-intensive and have more severe lumbar strain. The risk period for lumbar disc herniation in women is during prenatal, postnatal and menopause. Lumbar disc herniation occurs in L4 to L5 and L5 to S1, and sciatica is the main cause. With the development of medical science, rehabilitation care has become more and more important in lumbar disc herniation and has played a great role [9-12]. The best rehabilitation care methods can relieve clinical symptoms and promote recovery of damaged nerves, thus improving clinical efficacy, reducing pain, improving quality of life, and reducing relapse rate. Rehabilitation nursing care can help patients build up confidence and improve compliance with treatment, increase muscle strength and endurance, and prevent muscle atrophy; change patients' incorrect living habits, correct the incorrect posture of sitting, standing, fetching and carrying heavy objects, and normalize the physiological flexion of the lumbar spine. Therefore, rehabilitation nursing has a very important role in the treatment of lumbar disc protrusion [13-15]. In conclusion, rehabilitation nursing has a good effect on lumbar disc herniation and has a high clinical value, which is worth promoting in clinical application.
