Effect of external fixation of urinary catheter on indwelling catheterization in critically ill neurological patients

Indwelling catheter is one of the common nursing techniques in neurology, which is an important means to relieve urinary retention and facilitate the recovery of bladder function in patients with coma and urinary incontinence, and plays an active role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with acute and critical illness. In recent years, the silicone balloon catheter has been widely used in clinical practice because of its simplicity, lack of tape fixation, stable internal fixation, and its inability to slip out. In recent years, the silicone balloon catheter has been widely used in clinical practice for its simple operation, no need for tape fixation, stable internal fixation, and less slippage. We designed our own fixation band for external fixation of urinary catheter and observed its clinical effect.
